Let us perk you up with our Earth Energies Kawa Relief cream and a scrumptious juice recipe.

During the winter months when the weather can have a limiting impact on our activities and often our health, it is nice to treat ourselves to some pampering rituals. These might include a hot bath with essential oils and candles, or a visit to the hot springs. Maybe a warming massage, sauna or if you’re super lucky – a trip to a warmer, tropical country.  Whatever the means we choose to treat ourselves, we all like to feel comfort and warmth when the elements are rallying against us.

One of the causes of discomfort during the cooler months can be attributed to the slight changes in barometric pressure (for example before and during a storm) which in turn affects the pressure inside our joints. These subtle changes can impact on nerve endings and lead to aching and distress.  Joints that are affected by age-related wear and tear, or those affected by injury are particularly susceptible. Interestingly, it is also a possibility that our pain threshold is decreased throughout winter due to our mood being affected by the environment. This would certainly be a factor, if every winter you know that you get aches and pains, and so anticipate it annually.

Kawa Relief is a cooling cream ideal for joint and muscle discomfort, old injuries that flare-up in the cold, after a workout or bike ride, or as a preventative before any form of exercise. Our secret ingredient in Kawa Relief is Pukatea extract – a native NZ tree traditionally used for assisting with rheumatic and nerve conditions. Kawa Relief also contains the essential oils of manuka & kanuka, clove, lavender, black pepper and peppermint in a base of kawakawa infused organic grapeseed oil and spring water.
